The units – referred to as flight recorders – were designed to endure crash impacts and extreme fire from fires, and they appeared to be in one piece when found within the wreckage. Investigators will analyzing information from the devices.

A memorial was held on the evening of 6 November by the regional labor union, which represents staff at the Louisville airport, the firm’s biggest freight center.

The union chapter, which represents employees, began the memorial with a moment of silence at the evening hour, the estimated time of the crash previously.

“This incident was so unexpected, so unforeseen,” the leader spoke to the crowd of 200. “No one had a moment to bid farewell to each of those who we have lost.”
